Lisa are you using the Canvas tools to make comments on their documents?

I don't think I know about canvas tools to mark-up documents and save it

Good point Amber about the talking with students -- for lab reports I try to talk at least to groups of 4 students at a time

That lets me at least know where they plan to get started
